Orders come fast, and they rarely line up with the housing market. I’ve been on the other side of that, so I know how hard it is to make big decisions on a short timeline.
If you’re getting ready for a PCS, we can look at selling, or at renting the house out and keeping it for when you come back. Neither one is always the right call. I’ll tell you which one I think fits your situation, even if it means I don’t get a sale.

One family I work with PCS’d and rented out their home, knowing they’d be back. They kept the house, and I’m taking care of it while they’re away.
If you’re coming to Fayetteville, I can help you buy or rent here too.
Sell or rent? How I think about it
Three questions settle most of it.
Are you coming back? If Fort Bragg is likely on your orders again, keeping the house can make sense. If you’re done with Fayetteville, selling usually does.
What does the house cost you empty? The mortgage, insurance, and upkeep keep going whether or not someone’s living there. If rent covers those with a little left over, renting is workable. If it doesn’t, you’re paying to keep a house you don’t live in, and that gets old fast.
Can you handle a tenant from a time zone away? Most people can’t, and shouldn’t have to. That’s what a property manager is for. If you’d rather not, I’ll manage it through Olive & Co. and you’ll hear from me every month.
If you want to sell, I’ll price it and list it. If you want to rent, I’ll tell you what it should bring and what it’ll cost to get ready. Either way, you’ll have a number before you decide.
